It did not ask why they took the “hyphen” from the name and replaced it with a huge “single” star! If this is an American Company (search engine) maybe there is more to what is wrong with America than a few short plays and kicking a CEO in the a!! for not letting free speech run its course.
People think superior when they have something to think about not when they think about something to delete off of a search engine board that do not have a thing to do with showing no respect to an American Company that sells cheap crap.

Is this the correct format, and will all links now point just to the www version just from the time that I do this and upload the new .htaccess file, or will all links (and the page rank boost associated with it) become retrospective? Will I see a boost in rank immediately?

I’ve also heard that the search engines see a www.mysite.com version and a www.mysite.com/ version. Will my script take care of this as well, or do I have to add something else? (I cannot see whether the script does this or not as I am not a coder!)

For .co.uk domains do I just alternative .co.uk for .com in each case?

That above is the only code you need to redirect non-www to www in your .htaccess file. Yes you can change *.com to *.co.uk to get the same results, I made the code already valid for that. Change “yourdomain” to your domains name.

Yes, this will prevent duplicate content issues with search engines regarding two URLs having the same content. All non-www requests will be 301 redirected to their www counterpart. Results will take time, you might not even yeild none but a more proper internal link structure.

clear your browsing history and that means each thing. and once that is done go to your tools and edit what a web page is alowed to do on your pc and prevent it from doing it.. knolege of the world wide web options would help you with this question.

If the search engine crawler/indexer finds that you have spamming/malicious code on your pages then it might blacklist your sight and your site will not be displayed in SERP.

Whether you list/register your sites for search engines or not, at some time your website will get crawled by one of these search engines.

I do not think it is any way dangerous, worst case here is you will not get any hits when people try to search for keywords relevant to your site, using certain search engine that blacklist your site.

For World wide web Explorer7,
Go to Tools menu> World wide web Options>Advanced Tab> click “Reset “button under Reset World wide web Explorer settings.

If that doesn’t help you, there might be some add-on installed in your world wide web browser. Since there are so many add-ons I can’t tell you exact name of the add-on that‘s making trouble. Add-on might be installed with other small software that you might have installed recently.

To disable add-ons (IE),
Go to Tools menu> Manage Add-ons> Enable or Disable add-ons> In the Manage Add-ons windows choose the add-on that you are suspecting& click Disable under “Settings”. Click Ok & restart your browser.

To disable add-ons in Firefox,
Go to Tools menu> add-ons> in the add-on window choose “Extensions” click disable. Restart your browser.

If these steps not working try removing any recently installed softwares or try system restore…………..
