SEARCH ENGINE PROBLEM; FREEZES UP AT RESULTS PAGE?

Search Engine Problem; Freezes up at results page?
Everytime I use yahoo, google, bing, etc. When the results page comes up i try to click on one of the links and the page freezes up. It will not even let me exit the window once i click on a link, it just freezes. My personal doesn’t freeze up, but the window will not close, and I have to close it through the task manager. It does this everytime i try to search, and it does it on each search engine! I have tries deleting my temporary world wide web files and have run a couple of scans using McAfee, and it doesn’t detect any viruses! Can anyone tell me what is the problem?

If it’s not a problem of virus infection then I think it is due to the world wide web connection speed being low.Do not run various world wide web applications at the same time.You might not know it but many microsoft and other applications have automatic update functions.They all fight for a bandwidth in the limited connectivity speed.Try turning these functions off.

Whenever I perform a search on any search engine, when I click on the results links I get redirected.?
The tab will state either “jump” or “redirect” and I end up on a search results page for some obscure search engine I have never heard of, or I might end up at a website that is somewhat relevant to my initial search, or I could end up at a website that has nothing at all to do with what I am looking for. I cannot click the search results link and make it to the correct URL. It is driving me nuts. I have all the current updates and have run Ad-Aware and Norton and have come up with nothing. PLEASE can someone help me???

Hi DJ,
What you have here is a Spyware/Adware problem. There are numerous programs available for eliminating this nuisance, however the ideal one I have found to date is called Spybot-Search and Destroy which is 100% free. You might also want to clean out your cookies and history files before attempting to remove the pest. A good rule of thumb is to run this each week, to stop these from re-migrating back into your computer. My site below under Personal Speak also has a section that details how to rid of all kinds of problems for free.

Of course you can…
Btw, even Google crawls the Web and does so.. you can crawl all web pages in World wide web and build your own search engine.

Moreover, the content Google lists in the search results is not what they they do not own… and i feel it’s perfectly fine to build your own engine on their resutls.
Still, i feel go and read Google – Terms and conditions ( http://www.google.co.in/intl/en/privacy_terms.html )

Something has happened to my personal Search Engine. Whenever I search on Google or Yahoo the results I get are corrupted. All I get are links to those nasty ad sites. I literally can’t use my search engine any more. For instance, when I put in Wells Fargo Bank – the # 1 result links to:

http://digops.com/?q=web%20hosting&a=1-1948&i=1210308088

The Wells Fargo home page is not even listed as a result. The same thing happens when I search for my name, everything.

I’ve run my virus scan but nothing has been picked up.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem. Clearly I need to remove a bad program from my computer.

i think it comes down to what virus scan you are using. obviously, the virus program you are using is inadequate, as it has failed to pick up the virus. try malwarebytes/adaware/antivir/spybot, and probably you will yield much superior results.

To create you have to access thier search results. To do this all major search engine has thier own API. Try Yahoo search API or Google API.

Search Engine results are redirected, why?
As of a few days ago, I have been experiencing a bothersome problem. Whenever I use Yahoo, Mozilla, Google etc. I get a redirect when I click on a result.

For example – I was looking for information about the Dominican Republic. A number of site recommendations popped up. However, no matter which result I click on, I get redirected and a different search engine comes up. I usually end up on a site that offers up sales items, ie travel agencies, cheap flights, hotels.

Unless I type in the actual site address, from one of the result sites shown, I get redirected.

What’s worse, is that I cannot even use the back button to go back to the yahoo, mozilla, google page, I am plain out stuck.

I have run anti virus, malware, spy bot search and destroy… but all of that comes up clean. What can I do?

bugs/malware/viruses.

They can set proxies, to remove the proxy: in IE: tools->options->connections->lan settings button toward bottom of window-> and uncheck the boxes that state proxy.

Then download malwarebytes, update it, and run a full scan.

Just removing the proxy might work, but when you restart the personal or simply IE, then it will be back

No Vundo is a data harvester and pop-up annoyer. You are looking for some other type of malware. Recommend you grab the latest copy of adaware and give it a whirl.

I’ve built some webpages which have my first and last name in the body of the text. Is it possible to hide my name somehow from spidering search engine trackers.

This has happened before, when I google my name a lot of pages come up that I do not want to see.

You can put the text inside a fake attribute, for example:

There can me more that one solution. For example, you can: * exclude the page with the robots.txt file * print the data with an external JavaScript and exclude only the JavaScript file with the robots.txt * use AJAX to load the content of the text section from an external source
