Will Google and other search engines pick up content on an automatically forwarded page?
I just tested out the following script on a page on my site and it worked really well as far as forwarding goes. But what I am wondering is, until I get links up on the page I ultimately want an old page forwarded to, will search engines pick up content on pages with a forwarding script, as if the forwarded page is still current? The page I am wanting to have forwarded to a new page has been getting a lot of traffic, and I just want some way to direct visitors to the new page while still having search engines pick up the content on the old page that the visitors are searching for to start with. Here is the script I am using (Yahoo is just an example):

You’ve got a point, Vincent–I do tend to ask things that should be obvious to most people. But since I have noticed forwarding scripts on other pages, I am curious to know anyway how this would work from a programming standpoint.
