I have a website that ranks well before in Search Engine because Im building links gradually (working the same number of links everyday). However, this days Im currently experiencing being banned or Sandboxed by Google as I cant see any rankings to my keywords now. Im now building links only 3 times a week, unlike before that Im building 5 time a week with the same number of links per day. Does it really affects to mu rankings?

two key factors: i) Link frequency and ii) link quality

Frequency – if you build links too fast, it can be a warning sign to Google and they might be on the lookout for what you are doing.

Quality – good links are valued by Google, but if you link to questionable sites, like link farms, you could get banned.

Links pointing to your site is considered a vote by the search engines. The site with the most positive votes wins!

This has changed a bit recently as one-way links are much more important than exchanged links. The ideal way to obtain one way relevant links is:

Directories: Try to find some odd directories that are like your site.

Articles: Write informative articles and have them distributed. The more sites print your article online, the more links it will generate.

Press Releases: Press Releases, if submitted to the right press release directory, will create high quality inbound links for your site.

Locate websites that compliment the topicality of your site. For example, if you sell camping equipment, link to RV makers, camp site websites and other sites that run parallel to the same products you sell and are trying to reach the same demographic.

If you are selling hearing aids on-line, link to:

health care plans
glasses sites
walkers, canes and adaptive devices
cruise ships (seniors cruise a lot; they also purchase hearing aids)

The key is this – if the link furthers the search of your site visitor (even though you do not get the sale) it’s a good link.

Over time, as you collect related links you will discover that some rank higher or lower but you will have a lot more links.

Well first of all, I would state that if you are just learning HTML and Perl, you might want to hold off on a search engine for a tiny while. A good search engine tends to be a tiny more advanced for a beginner.

In any case, plagiarism is the act of duplicating something that someone has already written. To avoid this, read the content and put whatever writing you do into your own words (paraphrase). In software design, you are more likely to run into problems with copyright/patents. Taking some technology that someone developed and calling it your own.

In that situation again, download some code, look at how they reached it, perhaps think of things to make it better, then set out to write your own code. Use their code as merely a guide, but do not copy their code word for word. In some situations, there is only one ‘good’ way to do something (like looping through a record set) in which case you will have to do it the same as they did it. But no one can fault you for something like that.

When it comes to learning web technologies, you always have to look at someone else’s example. It is the only true way you can learn. But as long as you keep your intentions good, do not just read but apply what you learn, write your own stuff, you will be perfectly safe on the net.

There’s no single tutorial. You learn personal programming. then you learn php and SQL. then you get enough experience that you comprehend how what you learned relates to the stuff actually on your computer.

Then you write the site you want, because you will comprehend what you need.

Telling you to populate a recordset with the table would not mean anything to you now, but you populate the combobox with the recordset.

My recommendation is that you begin with the first web searcher – google for swish and swish-e. They have the original source code for building the index, and they have scripts for doing the searches. Take it from there so you have a solid understanding of the foundation of what you are trying to do.

Also, since I will be offering subscription services, I need to find a website host which is very secure, or supports what I need to secure it, and grants perferably cheap promotion within search engines. Maybe something along the lines of hostmonster.com or Godaddy.com .

Does anyone have any ideas?
