A BETTER WAY TO FIND BOATING INFORMATION?

I’ve built a custom search engine using Google Co-op to help boaters find information about boats, canals and the inland waterways. It searches 260+ websites.
It’s an experiment and I’d like it if a few of the boat owners out there would take a look at it and give me some feedback on whether it’s superior than just searching normal Google.
On the plus side it excludes non-boating, irrelevant sites. On the minus side it will not find info on obscure but possibly interesting sites.

I’m going to be needing a small business website and i’ve heard it’s superior to let Yahoo or Google host it to get superior and quicker optimization and seen better. Also, I will be using a pic gallery (i’m a fishing guide) and what pic gallery is good to embed that picks up easily in the search engines. Right now I use Photobucket and it doesn’t optimize worth anything.
