WHY IS YAHOO ANSWERS SEARCH TOOL SO TERRIBLE?
Dec 30th
Question by tom_2727:
Why is Yahoo Answers search tool so terrible?
I mean is not Yahoo supposed to be a search engine company? I have a search I like to run to look for new open questions, but the only setting I can use is < 7 days. That is like each open question. The results come back unsorted, and there is no way to sort the results, so I have to sift through a bunch of questions I have already seen to find the new ones. Anyone else got gripes with their search?

Q&A: I RUN A SEARCH ENGINE WITH AN ANSWERS SECTION…..?
Nov 21st
Question by Fat Fred the Farmer:
I run a search engine with an answers section…..?
So I am an admin guy that works for a little search engine company much like this one. My question is, is it right for me as an adminstrator to deleted people’s questions and censor what they say? I mean I do not want to be UN-American but the biss is the biss. I personally feel tho that you cannot have an honest answers column unless you grant people to talk their peace. I posted this on yahoo becasue I know that they would never attept to censor a comment, they have to much class! So be honest am I violating peoples rights by censoring them, or am I doing the right thing? HELP!!!!
More info… I like to leave people along, because for example if we did arrest everone who stated they were gonna blow something up there would be a thousand people left in this country and the would be clergy! We have military and police to keep tabs on the REAL problem makers so the rest of us do not have to play Matlock on a daily basis!

WHY ISN’T THERE A CUSTOMIZABLE SEARCH ENGINE FOR EACH USER HERE ON YAHOO! ANSWERS?
Oct 3rd
I was recently trying to find a question of mine of which I have asked somewhere in the past, but I would have to admit that it’s a real pain in the ass to find it through all of my questions. I do not comprehend why doesn’t Yahoo! Answers have a search engine for each individual user that will be able to browse just through the user’s own questions and answers.

HOW COME PEOPLE ON YAHOO ANSWERS DON’T KNOW HOW TO USE A SEARCH ENGINE?
Sep 6th
Not to be rude, but, seriously guys. I have come across so many easy questions that you could type into a search engine and find out in a snap. You also get more accurate results, not opinions, or rude comments. Do any of you use google or do your own researching before asking a question?

HOW CAN I GET GOOGLE CO-OP (CUSTOM SEARCH ENGINE) TO INCLUDE YAHOO! ANSWERS’ INDIVIDUAL CATEGORIES OR PAGES?
May 1st
I’m trying out Google Co-op, Google’s new custom search engine product. Basically it lets you create your own search engine including Web sites or individual pages that you select.
I have been experimenting with it and one thing I cannot figure out is how to include only one category of YA or individual pages (ie, specific questions, my profile, my answers, my ideal answers, my questions, etc) included in the search engine.
Has anyone tried this out?
